Conservation isn’t something we do on the side—it’s fundamental to our existence. For four generations, our family has been committed to protecting Uganda’s wilderness, wildlife, and communities. What began as a personal passion has evolved into a structured approach that integrates conservation into everything we do.
Through our conservation trust, strategic partnerships, and community initiatives, we’re working to ensure that Uganda’s most spectacular wilderness areas remain protected for future generations. We believe that responsible tourism can be the most effective form of conservation. By creating economic value for wilderness through low-impact, high-quality experiences, we demonstrate that protecting these areas is not just environmentally sound but economically beneficial.
Our lodges are strategically located inside or adjacent to national parks, allowing us to maintain a constant conservation presence in critical areas. This positioning enables us to monitor wildlife, support rangers, and quickly respond to emerging threats.
We recognize that successful conservation depends on the support of local communities. By creating meaningful employment, supporting education, and demonstrating the economic benefits of conservation, we’re building a sustainable model where people and wildlife thrive together.
One of Uganda’s first protected areas (1926) that has suffered species loss, including lions. Our work includes fencing, improving anti-poaching access roads, and community education to protect this area’s extraordinary biodiversity.
We focus on “The Heart of Murchison,” a remote area facing increasing poaching pressure. Our efforts include improving ranger access, providing equipment, and removing invasive species to help threatened wildlife recover.
This crucial wildlife corridor between communities and Queen Elizabeth National Park benefits from our invasive species removal, strategic gating, ranger posts, and community education initiatives.
A community-owned success story that has generated nearly $2 million for local projects, transforming former poachers into conservation champions while the gorilla population continues to grow.
Our presence in Uganda’s most remote national park has strengthened anti-poaching efforts, helping secure this spectacular wilderness and its unique wildlife, including Uganda’s only population of cheetahs.
