Honeybear
Bush Camp
Chic Safari on the Kazinga Channel
Uganda’s Kazinga Channel
Honey Bear Bush Camp is full of character—chic, elegant, and quietly bold. Reminiscent of the pared-back romance of the classic safari. Riverside luxury, with 5 spacious en-suite tents (36 sqm) set along the banks of the Kazinga Channel—where hippos splash and elephants drink.
You’ll wake up to hippos splashing below, or better yet, herds of elephants coming down to drink. A large, airy mess tent with a dining area and sitting room delivers the comfort one expects from a WildPlaces property. Set within a newly designated low-impact zone of the reserve, Honey Bear offers rare privacy—and a light footprint. The only other lodge in this entire area is our sister property, The River Station. Together, they are the sole accommodations within the reserve, creating an untouched wilderness few others ever see.

Conservation & Community Impact
Protecting Kyambura's Ecosystem
Our presence in Kyambura Game Reserve supports vital conservation efforts for the isolated chimpanzee population in Kyambura Gorge and the diverse wildlife along the Kazinga Channel. Through the WildPlaces Conservation Foundation, we fund anti-poaching patrols, habitat restoration, and community education programs that help preserve this unique ecosystem where savanna meets waterway.
By choosing to stay with us, you’re directly contributing to the protection of this special corner of the Western Rift Valley, with $25 from each night supporting our conservation initiatives.
